About « La Voix De l’Enfant »
Founded in 1981, « La Voix De l’Enfant » is a federative association. Its main goal is to « listen and defend any child who is suffering of any kind of distress anywhere. « La Voix De l’Enfant » was awarded with the Prize for Human Rights of the French Republic in 1987 and 1992.
Federating 75 associations, VDE’s missions include:
> Defend the dignity and integrity of every child and young person;
> Provide a civil status to the largest number of children in order for them to exist legally and be protected;
> Educate and support programs for primary health, education, care, support for street children, fight against prostitution and of child trafficking;
> Establish Hotlines and Units Home forensic hospital for minor victims of sexual or other abuses;
> Sue and to represent their interests;
> Be a platform for exchange and coordination for the protection and defense of children;
> Undertake with partners from different countries, European and international programs;
> Prepare and submit proposals for the implementation of the Children Rights Convention, international treaties and national legislation;
> Develop, propose and support vocational training programs;
> Serve as a forum for dialogue among member associations and partners.
The VDE is a member of the French National Consultative Commission of Human Rights since 1986. It is expected to provide expertise in several boards of foundations.
